Oven roasted garlic Asparagus

would you believe me if I told you I only started eating asparaguses about 5 years ago, well believe me.  Ive probably mentioned this a million times already, but growing up Caribbean we only had a selective amount of vegetables that was served in our home. Once I became of age I started researching and discovering vegetables outside of what I was used to. Asparagus is one of my FAVOURITES. I love it steamed, baked and sautéed. Today Im sharing my simple recipe for my quick Asparagus recipe

Prep time:  25min           Serving: 2-4 people 

Ingredients

One bunch of Asparagus = 1 lbs

1/4 TPS of chopped or crushed fresh garlic

A pinch of sea salt

A pinch of fresh cracked black pepper

A pinch of Thyme

1/2 Tbsp of Extra virgin Olive oil

I find massaging the ingredients into the Asparagus really brings out the garlic and the taste of flavour.

Instruction

Wash Asparagus according to ho you wash your Vegetables. I soak my vegetables in a cap full of apple cider vinegar.once dried, Add all ingredients, and massage them into the the Asparagus. On a baking sheet place a sheet of parchment paper on the pan, place seasoned Asparaguses on the lined pan. Bake in oven for 25 mins until pieces of garlic turn dark brown or until the Asparaguses start to look a bit wrinkly if you like them well done. For a list of my Favourite fresh herbs click here
